Paddle Ohio Pin Series: Sandusky River Kayaking
Description:
Enjoy kayaking the scenic Sandusky River on this roughly 6 mile out-and-back trip. Complete 4 state-designated scenic waterways in this series or on your own to be eligible for the Paddle Ohio Pin! Meet at ODNR’s Darr-Root Fishing Access, where we’ll be briefed on the day, outfitted with gear and boats, and launch. Naturalists guide the adventure up and down the river before returning.
Prerequisites:
*If water conditions are deemed unsafe, the trip is subject to postponement, rerouting or cancellation.* Must be 14 years of age or older (must have liability form signed by legal guardian before attending the program). All registered participants must meet Essential Eligibility Criteria (abilities and characteristics deemed fundamental for participation). Call ahead for special needs and accommodations. All kayaks, PFDs, and equipment provided. Personal kayaks and equipment welcome; contact program leader to ahead of time to check personal gear appropriateness. Kayaking programs made possible by ODNR Division of Watercraft.
